The Nicene Creed and the Apostles Creed are very simular, but the Apostles Creed came first.
When we recite the Creed, we tell the world what it means for us to be Catholic. By standing and proclaiming the Creed, we tell others what we believe about God the father, Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit who was sent to animate the Church. god is almighty and sent Jesus. The Apostles Creed is similar to the Nicene Creed, but we believe in two creeds. The older one which is the Apostles Creed and the newer one which is the Nicene Creed.
The Council of Nicaea and The Council of Constantinople came together to make the Nicene Creed.
Jesus is God's own son equal to the father; not a creature.

The Nicene Creed is the prayer that the Council of Nicenea made up which professes our faith. We say it in church as a community.

When we recite the creeds (apostle and nicene) we confess (or tell) what it means for us to be Christians and we confess who we are in the Christian faith.
