The Nicene Creed and the Apostles Creed are very simular, but the Apostles Creed came first.

When we recite the Creed, we tell the world what it means for us to be Catholic. By standing and proclaiming the Creed, we tell others what we believe about God the father, Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit who was sent to animate the Church. god is almighty and sent Jesus. The Apostles Creed is similar to the Nicene Creed, but we believe in two creeds. The older one which is the Apostles Creed and the newer one which is the Nicene Creed.

In 431 the council of Ephesus decreed that Mary was the mother of God. We now celebrate special days for Mary such as the Annunciation (When she said yes to the angel Gabriel and the Assumption of Mary (The day she was reunited with Jesus in heaven).

A vicar is someone who represents or stands in and acts for someone else. In that sense the pope is the Vicar of Christ. He stands in for Jesus and acts as him in our life and through the mass.

One job of the Old Testament kings was to govern the people so that they would live in peace.

The Nicene Creed is the prayer that the Council of Nicenea made up which professes our faith. We say it in church as a community.

When we recite the creeds (apostle and nicene) we confess (or tell) what it means for us to be Christians and we confess who we are in the Christian faith. The two creeds are very similar but the difference is that, the Nicene Creed is the most widely accepted and used brief statements of the Christian Faith. The Apostles' Creed is considered to be a faithful summary of the faith of the Apostles.
